So now you know the reason for the statement at the beginning of this page!
We have been trying for many years and the following pictures are to let you where we are at in our quest. March I was thin. April I slept the month away. May I had to started getting bigger clothes. June I started to show. As the other months go by I will add them to this page so my family and friends around the world can join us on our journey. So far the journey is going fine. Baby and I are growing as planned. The estimated time of landing is November 21, 1998 that is if there are not delays or complications en route.
March 1998 I was thin and drinking a lot of milk! "So long" to coffee.
I know I slept April away. Why do you think I am so fuzzy? (Actually we are still learning how to use our camera.)
May, we were able to tell family and friends about the journey we were on. Most of our friends out here had figured it out, but said it was a surprise when we told them. I was told I have "that" walk, and the anatomy changes also gave away our secret.

I guess the fact that I have to start wearing maternity clothes to work, was the big change in June.
July 1998 found me looking like this:
It's a good thing that Marcus is working now, as I have had to take time off to concentrate on being a mommy! Marcus loves this picture, because I am barefoot, pregnant and in the kitchen.
Well we are into month number six. As you can see baby and I are growing, I only hope that this sweatshirt with still fit by the last month. Marcus was able to feel the baby kicking and stretching. Being able to feel the baby has made this journey become very real so I have been very busy getting the nursery ready. I have done the theme as a circus tent, accented with clowns and bright red, orange, yellow, green, blue and purple. Next month when I have all the accessaries ready and everything in place I'll get a picture and add it to this page.

Well the seventh month has brought less sleep and stretch marks. This month we have been busy traveling, with me sleeping and Marcus doing most of the driving. We are aware that in two months it will not be just Marcus and I, so all the activities have been that much more precious. I have basically finished the nursery. I only have to sew some cotton diapers for us to use. If you want to know what we have already for the baby, e-mail me and and I'll send you a copy of the list.
We are well into our eighth month and the count down to the end of this journey is in sight. The nursery is ready. I am busy resting trying to keep my blood pressure down on the low side. Poor Marcus has to now do everything while I get ready for the baby. To keep me in bed I am reading lots, crochetting a blanket for the baby and designing and sewing a hardanger bib for the baby's baptism.
Well the ninth month is here and I'm not that BIG. As you can see, I am in the same outfit I started this journey in. The day I am typing this I have experienced my tenth ultrasound. I think I can definitely state that I know how this child has developed. At present we are two days over due and waiting. I have everything ready. As the song says, "My bags are packed and I'm ready to go...."

Welcome along on our journey. I hope you enjoy the ride as much as Marcus and I are. Keep on the lookout for that first picture of the new arrival.
And as for that new arrival... well, time to check out a brand new Webpage...
