Hi
everybody! My name is Vìrya Chéline
Shields, and I came into this world at 9:08 a.m. (Eastern Time)
on the morning of Friday, November 27, 1998. My Mommy is Karen May Shields
and my Daddy is Marcus Bernard Shields. I asked Daddy to help me with this
Webpage as I'm still not quite up to speed with a mouse and keyboard!
When I was first born, I weighed 8 lbs. 5 oz. (I was a big girl!) and I have a head of dark brown hair (quite a bit more than Daddy, but don't tell him that, OK?) and two beautiful blue eyes. I was so big that Mommy had to have me by C-section, but it's OK, she and I are doing fine now.
My first name is pronounced "VEER-yah" and it means "Heavenly Lady" in one of the imaginary languages of that silly Shakhàn game that you can learn about through one of the links on Mommy and Daddy's homepage. (Oh well, I guess I'll never have to worry about being confused with somebody else when they're calling out names in school!) My middle name is pronounced "SHAY-leen" and it's the same as that of my Cousin Rondy (who Mommy is really fond of).
You can see some pictures of me in the first few days and weeks I have spent in this strange, big world you have out here, below. There will be more as I grow up.
I'm looking forward to meeting every one of you as I journey through life. I hope you're looking forward to meeting me, too!
